A compendium of the world's most charming shops and the keepers who tend them, this website is a favorite resource for identifying the best independent stores to visit around the globe. We tapped founder Paula Flynn for a list of her all-time favorites — the ones you see filling up your Instagram feed over and over again.

A calm oasis in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood. Relax on the pink velvet settees while sampling single-estate and blended teas, admire the beautifully displayed yellow canisters of tea against aubergine walls, and shop a beautifully curated assortment of tea accessories and candles.

Located at the Great Marlborough Street entrance to the iconic British department store Liberty London. The Tudor revival façade creates an interesting architectural backdrop for tiered zinc containers of flowers.
