If you've been following the Discover it® Miles series on Fathom, you've been reading about the benefits of a using a credit card specifically designed for travelers. So you know that when you use the card for everyday purchases, you earn 1.5x the Miles on every dollar spent. And that on your first anniversary, those Miles are doubled.

Which means that you can quickly rack up a nice stash of Miles that you can then redeem towards hotels, air fare, rental cars, and all your travel needs.

But using Miles is a pain, isn't it? Blackout dates and more blackout dates. Lousy seats on the plane. Rooms with a view of the parking lot. Policies that only let you redeem every other week on days ending with the letter Z.

Maybe with those other cards, but not with Discover it Miles, the card that makes using and redeeming Miles easy and mystery-free. Here's how:

How do I earn Miles?

Easy: Start by using the card to pay for everything. Groceries. Gas. Utility bills. Cell phones. Dinner. The gym. The caffeine addiction. Midnight online shopping binges. The card is accepted by 9.6 million merchants in the United States.

How many Miles do I earn?

You earn one for every dollar spent.

Discover multiplies that by 1.5x. Spend $100, earn 150 Miles.

Then, on your first anniversary, those Miles are doubled. Which means 150 Miles becomes 300 Miles.

When can I redeem Miles?

Anytime.

What can I use Miles for?

Your Miles can be redeemed to help pay for all your travel purchases — airfare, hotels, rental cars.

Which airlines can I fly?

Whichever airline you want. (Yes, really.)

Will I be stuck in the middle seat?

Only if you want to be. There are no seat restrictions.

What about blackout dates?

What blackout dates? There aren't any.

Any other perks? Flying is such a pain…

In fact, yes. Discover it Miles will give you a $30 credit each year towards in-flight Wi-Fi purchases. So you can distract yourself from the noisy kid in 24B with a good Netflix binge, courtesy of Discover.

Can I use the card if I travel overseas?

Yes. And you should: There are no foreign transaction fees.

What if I lose or misplace my card when I'm traveling?

Then you use Freeze Itâ„ , a handy on/off switch on Discover's website or mobile app that lets you freeze your account until you find your card or have it replaced.

Where do I get the card?

Right here.
