Fathom Favorites : Oman

1. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

The main mosque in Muscat is stunning. The interior is as ornate as the exterior is not. Some fun facts: The carpet measures 60x70 meters and took four years to weave by hand, and the hall can accommodate 20,000 worshippers. Non-Muslims are welcome every day except Fridays, 8:30 to 11 a.m. Dress code is modest, and women need to cover their hair.
