A Yogi's Health and Wellness Guide to Nantucket
Maintaining a healthy and wholesome lifestyle while vacationing is getting easier and easier — even remote destinations like Nantucket have a health and wellness scene. We asked Supta Yoga Nantucket's owner and longtime island visitor Meagan Rohrer for a rundown of the best places to find homeopathic remedies, farm-fresh produce, and cold-pressed juices.
Nantucket is in my soul. For as long as I can remember, I have been visiting the island with my family. Most of my fondest memories take place here. As a yoga instructor, I have taught, practiced, and studied around the world and helped to develop new studios in New York City and Austin, Texas. Eventually I was inspired to open my own studio and with only two places in mind, Nantucket and New Orleans, I began actively researching and looking for the perfect space. It was not long before I found the building on Amelia Drive that is now home to Supta Yoga Nantucket. I am absolutely thrilled to be living on this island and to be part of its community year round. These are the places and people that help keep me grounded and healthy as I move through life 30 miles out at sea.
