Meet Our Guest Instagrammer: Carley Rudd in Maine
All photos by Carley Rudd.
We're thrilled to invite photographer Carley Rudd to help us end an amazing year of #FathomTakovers on our @FathomWaytoGo Instagram feed with some Maine winter fun. Originally from the Northeast, but now living in sunny LA, Carley shares some of her favorite photos and a little more about her shooting style and inspiration.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I was born and raised in the mountains of Maine and currently hang my hat in sunny LA. I developed an appreciation for artists and makers of the world at a young age when I worked in my parents' art gallery, Harvest Gold Gallery. I enjoy photographing artists' work and their creative process.
How would you describe your photography style?
As a travel and lifestyle photographer I am always trying to tell a story and capture the true essence of a person, place, or thing. For me, this often means capturing the little details. I am drawn to bright, fresh colors and unexpected beauty in the little things.
What do you love most about photographing Los Angeles?
I love the diverse and natural beauty you can find all within a few hours' drive from the city. I also love how collaborative and creative people are in Los Angeles. As a photographer here, I have endless support and resources available to me.
