Postcards tagged: Road Trip
SARDINIA, Italy – The Italian island is nothing short of photogenic.
PERU AND CHILE – The sky changed from heavy gray to a dazzling display of faceted jewel tones. Rubies and topaz and amethyst and tanzanite set behind mountain peaks glimmered in the thin air.
SOMEWHERE ON EARTH – Imagine quitting your job and hitting the road for more than a year. These two modern nomads are living the gridskiping dream, and we have the photos to prove it.
GLACIER, Montana – Sit back in one of the rockers in the main lobby and crack open the paper in front of the perennially blazing fireplace, which is the size of a small dance floor.
MAUI, HAWAII – After an andrenaline-pumping drive to Hana, you'll need a bite to eat. The best local delicacies are served on styrofoam from roadside luncheonettes. So pull over.
Everything you need to hit the road and a few things that might come in handy wherever you choose to stop.
SAN FRANCISCO – See the redwoods. Shop local designers and thrift shops. Eat everything, spend nothing. Drive 232 miles in a week. We did it all and more. Without going insane.
CATANIA, Sicily – Our philosophy is one of good living and environmental consciousness.
SICILY – A two-week drive around Sicily is the best way to get away, be somewhere beautiful, experience history and food and blue skies and waters without having to take yourself too seriously.
MONTANA – This was especially great: A land preservation bumper sticker that said "cows not condos." What's the local speciality? Taxidermy and candy.
