YOSEMITE, CA – We're kicking off the week with a special treat for the senses, a vivid and uplifting HD time-lapse video of iconic Yosemite National Park.

We know, we know — time-lapse videos can be found in every corner of the Internet. But these not-so-common motion shots breathe life into the formidable mountains. The illuminated nighttime sequences are truly something else. Just wait until you see a glowing sun bursting through craggy peaks, trees emerging from the shadows of billowing clouds, and stars suspended in a violet sky.

Creators Sheldon Neill and Colin Delehanty spent nineteen days scouting locations, rigging cameras to moving dollies, and battling freezing temperatures while filming out in the open. But at the end of the day, they say, the best part was simply sitting in nature and soaking it all in.

The result is a four-minute ode to the majesty of Yosemite. That's a small amount of time that we can all dedicate to centering ourselves in the morning — so cheers to a peaceful and inspiring Monday! And thanks to Gadling for the link.
