SEVILLE, Spain – Culture. Parks. Long and lazy lunches. Moorish architecture. Iberian tapas. The whole family will refuse to leave Seville once they get there.
St. Lucia – A recent renovation has turned the new Caribbean resort into a completely low-key and casual sybaritic experience where your every whim is attended.
PORTO ERCOLE, Italy – My family and I recently spent a few languid days of sun, spa, and signature jumbo club sandwiches delivered poolside. Dolce vita indeed.
FLORENCE, Italy – It's a baroque explosion of vaulted ceilings, endless rooms, and gilding galore. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were a long-lost Medici in this stunning perch.
PRAGUE, Czech Republic – I was surprised at the weird US brands that kept cropping up — TGIFridays and Hooters seem out of place amidst all the medieval, romanesque, and gothic beauty.
LOS ANGELES – Pizzas, tar pits, movie stars, boardwalks, Greek relics, swimming pools, 1950s soda fountains. L.A. just may be the city of dreams for kids. Not bad for parents, either.
LONDON – We found the ten best parent- and kid-approved hotels throughout London. Zoos, kid concierges, nannies, kites, parks — everything but Mary Poppins.
LONDON – Everyone is going to London in 2012. No wonder: A short family trip packs in fish and chips and pirate ships, dungeons and Legos, gardens and pools.
Any surprises? The sugar cane plantations were interesting, but I didn't want to explore more. This trip was about relaxing and planting myself by the pool.
HARBOUR ISLAND, Bahamas – It's all about superb simplicity, laid-back atmosphere, and a slight British vibe. If I’ve undersold my love, let me be clear: This would be my Death Row meal.
